Hal Pickett, Psy.D.



Hal Pickett, Psy.D. Hal Pickett, Psy.D., LP, ABPP, is a Clinical Psychologist with Diplomat Status in Child and Adolescent Psychology. Over the last 20 years, he has worked with Children, Adults and Families in a variety of settings including a large University Hospital Setting, Private Practice and not-for-profit community mental health. Presently, he is the Director, Client Services at Headway Emotional Health Resources, a large not-for-profit mental health center in the Twin Cities metro area of Minnesota. Dr. Pickett has taught for more than 20 years as an adjunct professor in multiple graduate programs around the Twin Cities and has a busy schedule presenting on a variety of professional topics around the state. Dr. Pickett also holds graduate certificates in Forensic Psychology, Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness, and Animal Assisted Therapies. Dr. Pickett's clinical practice is focused on adolescent forensic work with juvenile diversion, adolescent sex offenders, psychosexual assessments and certification assessments. He presently teaches mostly in the fields of assessment, evidence-based practice and practice outcomes. During his time as a psychologist, he has chaired more than a dozen dissertations or master's research projects.
