Ernest (Ernie) Marshall, LCSW



Ernest (Ernie) Marshall, LCSW Ernie Marshall, LCSW, has worked in the non-profit and public sectors in both clinical and administrative roles since 1996. His work has focused on populations traditionally considered resistant and hard to treat including: criminal justice, substance abuse, sexual offenders, personality disorders, and multiply diagnosed individuals. He is a member of the Motivational Interviewing Network of Trainers (MINT) and been conducting training for therapists and organizations for 15 plus years. Ernie was a Director at Community Connection Resource Center in San Diego California where he developed, implemented, and supervised multiple programs targeting effective re-integration of high risk offenders. Ernie was employed at California's Coalinga State Hospital as a Treatment Enhancement Coordinator/Assistant Clinical Administrator. He is currently a Treatment Supervisor at San Ridge Secure Treatment Center in Wisconsin where he supervises the development and delivery of treatment for high risk sex offenders with elevated levels of psychopathy. He also co-founded a training, consulting, and psychotherapy organization, Change Partnership, LLC.

Ernie's clinical interest/expertise include: Motivational Interviewing, Feedback Informed Treatment, "What Works" in psychotherapy, Trauma Informed Care, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, the Treatment and Management of Psychopathy and Personality Disorders, Risk/Needs/Responsivity, Offender Desistance from Crime, Implementation Science, and effective organizational change.
