Carlo A. Giacomoni, PsyD, ABPP

Carlo A. Giacomoni, PsyD, ABPP is board certified in clinical psychology by the American Board of Professional Psychology. He graduated from the Chicago School of Professional Psychology, completed his predoctoral internship at the primary forensic hospital for the State of Illinois, and his postdoctoral fellowship at Cook County Jail in Chicago. In addition to forensic and correctional settings, he has worked in acute care psychiatric units and in outpatient practice. Dr. Giacomoni is the President of North Star Mental Health, LLC, where he maintains a clinical and forensic practice. His forensic practice involves conducting evaluations for such matters as adjudicative competence (fitness to stand trial), criminal responsibility (insanity), and certain civil matters. He has a specialization in working with various forms of traumatic experiences such as military combat, domestic violence, and various forms of physical/sexual/emotional abuse.
